"Lets get the air out".

Any TER Ops. involving  an active air suspension should be stabilized before any entry is attempted.

I have seen many schools and incidents where the air is not remover from the tires after the blocks and chocks have been placed. Why? we are taught and teach to do it. " Remember " if it's not in the drill and practiced there is a good chance you won't do it at the scene. I have heard every excuse in the book and only one answer that was from Chief Roy Tydings , Virginia Beach Rescue Squad. He said that  he attaches an air chuck to each step chock with a quick connect , so after the incident the tires can be re inflated from the truck air,  a portable tank or bottle. Cool! I went to the shop and came up with a simple tool. all the parts can be bought for less then $10.00.and be assembled with out tools. Except for hydraulic cutters to open the packaging.  I painted the clip red as a reminder.
