Research papers
My research is often in response to a particular problem. Often no one else has confronted the problem and/or written it up. I look for written information first then interview people actually in the field then tailer the report to my client's project.
For example most sound engineers are good at telling us how loud something is and often how loud an activity will be but not how the sound will be perceived by people living at various distances away from the source of the noise source. I found that there were several noise exposure forecasting systems but none that applied directly to gravel operations. I modified the existing systems by combining several into one and test the results in the field.

Environmental Course Syllabi
I like to teach. Generally I tailor my talk or course to the level of awareness of the group involved. If you need a seminar or course about a general or particular environmental design area, we should talk about how to go about it.
Most of the syllabi here were generated for adults working on their undergraduate degree. Some of the courses were required as part of the graduation requirements. Generally I had people in my class that were about to graduate after attending classes for six or eight years. They were avoiding the science requirements. Usually about the middle of the semester they wondered why they had avoided science. Some even decide to go on and get a masters degree in science.
