This is an amateur league, sanctioned by the USASA, operating
primarily on the west coast. The initial team lineup included
the pacific coast teams of the USL's W-League and several other
amateur teams from California. Initially based along the west coast,
the WPSL added a New England division in 2004, and since then
have expanded to the midwest and southeast. Their web page is
