On November 3rd, the voters in Brookline, Marlboro, Newfane, and Townshend, Vermont went to the polls to decide the fate of Windham 3īs representation in Montpelier. While I was the overwhelming choice in Brookline and Townshend, I fell short in Marlboro and Newfane leaving me just over 100 votes shy of becoming your State representative. I wish to thank all of you who worked so hard in this campaign. We worked hard, we worked together, and we fought for what we believe in. We will continue to fight for these issues and hope that our voice will be heard in Montpelier. I am sorry that the issue of campaign signs clouded the real issues at hand. Campaign signs have been used for many, many years and are used by the majority of candidates throughout the country and I am not sure why this was an issue except that maybe it was easier to talk about signs rather than Act 60 or the needed revision of Act 250. Be assured that I will continue to work for the changes in these and other important issues facing each of us in Windham 3. Again, thank you all for your tremendous support. Once again (`96 and `98) I am encouraged by the close vote and the strong message this close race sends to Montpelier. Courtney Nau,
THANK YOU!
