The Panthers' dark comedy won five awards (Writers Guild, International Radio Festival, and three from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting) before Republican sensibilities took over public broadcasting and Vermont Public Radio blacklisted the group.

The two dozen pieces on the Panther CD 'NOT EXTINCT' are drawn from recent work dealing with the Supreme Court, military umbrellas, Robbie Alomar's all star spitting ability, juveniles in prison, phalloplasty, JonBenet Ramsey, perfumes, gays in the millitary, and much more; even a few songs.
