A poignant drama dealing with a career ending injury to a horse trainer and stuntman (Albert Dupontel) on a movie set, who is paralyzed from the waist down. Also an unlikely romance develops between him and an insurance adjuster (Cecile De France, Belgian actress) he has nothing in common with. She is trying to get him to accept a low-ball settlement. They eventually fall in love, while the insurance lady rethinks her career choice and wonders if she should have pursued her dream to be a concert pianist.
French writer-director Denis Dercourt ("Tomorrow At Dawn"/"The Page Turner") keeps it restrained, tasteful, and Gallic charming. Thanks to the moving performances by the leads, the intelligent script and the fancy equestrian horsemanship exhibited, this becomes an engaging film.
