Les Blank ("Burden of Dreams"/"Dry Wood"/"Spend It All") films an engaging short bio on the self-crowned king of Zydeco, the great accordionist Clifton Chenier. The film is set in Lafayette, Louisiana, on black Creole turf. It follows the musician throughout his community, at the barbershop and while he travels to nearby gigs. It features interviews with the Man, catching his band perform, and his relating to friends, family and other musicians.
