Bing Crosby is a 51-year-old rich widower restaurateur, with two grown children (Nina Shipman & Angus Duncan)He believes that he didn't get a proper education when young, so he enrolls in college. One gag has his fraternity brothers order him to dress up as Scarlett O'Hara. That was supposed to be hilarious.
Nicole Maurey is the French professor Bing romances. Gavin Macleod gets a few laughs as the nutty professor and dorm monitor. The fellow students include the athlete Fabian, the rash Tuesday Weld, the polite Indian student Patrick Adiarte and the outgoing RIchard Beymer.
Songs include: "Nobody's Perfect," "I Had a Dream, Dear," "Lovely Lady," the traditional "Foggy Foggy Dew," and "It Came upon a Midnight Clear."
