Unexpected Light

This quilt is dedicated with love and thanks to David Celone, Tim Moore, and Steven Spencer, who brought me back to the light, November 26, 2002. (See related story.)

This is a small quilt (~12" square), made for the Abstract Challenge on-line quilting group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/abstract-challenge/), on the theme “Unexpected.”

The background is a single piece of fabric, and I used a piece of silvery lamé and light blue ribbon, embellished with beads across the center black velvet, to represent my journey into the darkness and back to the light.
