St. Patrick's Dance and Feast at the Cafeteria, FH Graded School (out back) Something came over our Pastor Marsh Hudson-Knapp on a recent St. Patrick's Day. His Irish roots seem to have gone wild!
Marsh talked about ways people find hope in gloomy times and remembered how his Irish ancestors found hope and joy in gloomy times like the potatoe famines by sharing imaginative stories, like the tales of the leprechauns. Learning that you could force one of the little ones to lead you to a pot of gold if you caught him, the children took chase after our visiting leprechaun and soon tackled him!
So he gave in and led the to a Pot of Gold (foil wrapped chocolates), and great fun was had by all!
Our celebrations continue in the afternoon with a family fun dance led by Tom and Sharon Pinsonneault! Everyone enjoys two hours of dancing, exercise, learning, and laughs.
Including a gathering of encouraging dance- watchers, some of whom did try their hand at dancing a little later.
Then a great feast is had by all! Our great thanks to Fair Haven Graded School for allowing us to use the cafeteria, to Mona Eddy and the Pastoral Care team, and all of the other cooks and helpers who made a wonderful day in 2009. Plan to Join us for the next annual St. Patrick's party! Home...
