Pecan or Hazelnut-Chocolate Pie


Cream: 1/3 c butter
     1 c brown sugar (dark for pecan, light for hazelnut)
Beat in: 4 eggs
Stir in: 1 c maple syrup
     2 c broken pecan meats (or ground toasted hazelnuts)
     1 t vanilla extract
     1/4 t salt
     (Optional: 6 oz chocolate chips)
Pour into baked pie shell & bake for 45 min @ 325 degrees F
