What do I do?
I provide computer consulting support for small and medium sized
businesses, schools and non-profits around New England. Although I'm a
generalist, with a wide knowledge of computing issues, I have
particular expertise in the following areas:
Administrative
software for schools and non-profits
Academic
computing in schools and colleges
Both
PC and Macintosh platforms
FoxPro
custom database management systems
Novell
networks, installation and administration
Accounting
software and issues
Other pertinent information
I work with my clients from a basis of mutual trust. I have a standing
offer with all my clients - if you're not happy with my work, don't pay
me. So far, I've always been paid.
I do not sell any products, so my clients can be sure that I'm not
recommending a course of action because I'll make money selling it to
them.
I know what I know. If I don't know the answer to a client's question,
I tell them I don't know. Then I do my best to find out the answer.
I consult, advise, administer, train, install and configure hardware
and software, write custom software etc. etc. I don't fix hardware, but
I'll diagnose hardware problems and help get them resolved.
Finally, I try to make my clients as independent of me as possible. If
a client no longer needs me, I've probably done a good job. (And that's
how I get to work on new things, with new clients!)
In conclusion
You think I might be able to help you? Sorry, but it's not that easy.
Since September 1994 I have been turning down all major new work. But
you can always try to tempt me via
E-Mail or call me at 802-254-3566.
