  • Parent to Parent of Vermont
    • This is an organization of parents offering support and information to parents of young children newly diagnosed as having a disability or special health care need.
  • The Stern Center for Learning
    • Through their direct services for individuals, professional development for educators and research programs, they are the only resource of this kind in northern New England and upstate New York. Stern Center staff work as partners with parents, teachers and medical professionals to build bridges for learning.
  • The University Affiliated Program of Vermont
    • This program is part of a national network of developmental disabilities programs established to support individuals with disabilities and their families.
  • Vermont Parent Information Center
    • Founded in 1992, the Vermont Parent Information Center, is a statewide network of support and information for families who have a child with special needs or disabilities. I love this organization and the folks who work there!
  • Vermont Special Olympics
    • This organization is an accredited chapter of the world-wide Special Olympics movement which, through therapeutic sports training and athletic competition, gives children and adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to strengthen their character, develop their physical skills, prepare for entry into school and community sports programs, display their talents and fulfill their human potential.
