    • Members of ADAPT are fighting so that people with disabilities can live in their communities of choice with real supports instead of being locked away in nursing homes and other institutions.
  • Axis Disability Web Site
    • This is a site by one of my favorite presenters, Norman Kunc and his partner Emma Van der Klift. I have heard Norman present a few times and highly recommend him as a speaker.
  • Disability Net: Disabled People's Direct Action Network
    • DAN is an organization based in England. Members campaign for accessible public transport and full civil rights for disabled people through civil disobedience and direct action.
  • Disability Research and Activism Resources

  • Disability Rights Education and Defense Foundation (DREDF)
    • This organization was founded in 1979 by people with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities. It is a national law and policy center dedicated to protecting and advancing the civil rights of people with disabilities through legislation, litigation, advocacy, technical assistance, and education and training of attorneys, advocates, persons with disabilities, and parents of children with disabilities.
  • Justice for All
    • Justice For All and JFA E-mail Network were formed to defend and advance disability rights and programs in the 104th Congress. One JFA goal is to work with national and state organizations of people with disabilities to get the word from Washington D.C. out to the grassroots.

  • Psychiatric Survivors and Allies Unite!
    • This is an organization working toward breaking the silence about psychiatry's forced human rights violations. This is an international organization based in Eugene, Oregon.
