CHAMELEON SAMPLER

To Install Chameleon on a PC Running Windows:

- Place disk in Drive a:
- Go to Program Manager, click File, click Run
- Type in  a:\setup  and press Enter.  This will Install Chameleon

To Configure Chameleon:

- In the Chameleon Program Group, Double Click the "CUSTOM" icon.

- Click on Interface and then ADD

- Under Type, use the scroll down arrow to select PPP
  The first time you install the program the default file name is PPP0

- Go to Setup (you must select this menu for each of the following)
        Click IP Address and Enter 204.71.16.100
         -`Use the tab key to separate the numbers where there are periods
        Subnet Mask should now be: 255.255.255.0
         - Click on Subnet Mask and change this if it is not correct
        Do Not enter a Host Name
         -
        Click on Domain Name and enter: sover.net
         -
        Click on Port and be sure it shows: 8 bits, 1 stop bit, No parity
         - Select the correct modem speed (usually 19,200)
        Click Modem and select the modem type you have.
         - Verify the Init String matches your particular modem.
         - Use:  AT&F if you are not sure.  This sets the modem to factory
           defaults.
        Click on Dial and enter the correct phone number for your area 
         - see the list below
        Click on Login and enter your Username (with a capital 'P' in front)
         - Enter your password exactly as shown (including proper case)
         - Startup command should remain BLANK

- Go to Services
        Click on Domain Server and enter: 204.71.16.10
         - use the tab to move between boxes, as before.

- Go to File and click on Save
        The default filename is fine

- Exit Custom
        Click File and Exit

Under Special:
        Choose Configuration
        - Set POP Account to: username@sover.net
          where 'username' is the name you chose for login
          Do NOT use the Capital 'P' here !
        - Set Real Name to your own Real Name or Business Name
